HOME ARMY MUSEUM

The Home Army Museum (Muzeum Armii Krajowej) is the only museum in Poland that provides a total view of the Polish fight against invaders and occupiers from east and west over the last 100 years. Of course, its main emphasis is on the largest, and longest lasting anywhere in Europe, struggle against the Nazi invaders in World War II. It contains a unique collection of artifacts, weapons, insignia, documents and uniforms. See separate article for full details.

The Museum is open from 11:00 to 17:00, Tuesdays through Fridays. Visits for groups may be arranged at other times. Please call the office at (012)433 84 11 for more information.

It is only 10 minutes from the Market Square (Stary Rynek) by taxi. By car go to the Akademia Ekonomiczna on Rakowicka Street (see plan) turn left on the lower level of Wita Stwosza street. The bus 115 stops at the Museum on request.
You can also go to the Main Railway Station, go up to the parking deck above platform III, cross the deck and go down the steps and go through the underpass under Wita Stwosza street .
